Synopsis
HANDS is no stranger to musical collaborations, bizarre performances, unconventional styles and music. Despite this, there are instances when a performance is not quite what is hoped for. They continue to work to create the ultimate blend.
Inspired by popular South East Asian traditional dances and music, THE NEXT showcases a fusion of movement and music. Exploring and incorporating these traditional art forms are part of HANDS journey to create their own brand. Movements are merged, expanded and stylised, creating something new. In a fun filled celebratory atmosphere still rich in tradition, the first half of THE NEXT hopes to stir feelings of fulfilment and oneness.
In its futuristic tinged second half, HANDS continues to push compositional and visual boundaries. It gives you a turnaround theatrical experience. Drums are set in physically challenging places, and played to thrilling music. Gongs are played in bizarre yet stunning style. HANDS is heading towards its future, challenging their creative strength.
